Fulbright Research and Development Program

Research in USA universities lasting from 6 to 9 months for people under 40 years of age with two years of professional experience: teachers; graduate students and researchers who do not yet have a degree; doctor (no more than 5 years after obtaining PhD); administrators of higher educational establishments; employees of research institutions; journalists; librarians, museum specialists and archivists; specialists in the field of cultural management; employees of public organizations.

Areas of specialization: humanitarian, social, precision, technical and natural sciences

The deadline for document submission is November 1, every year.

Participants must:

  • have Ukrainian citizenship and live in Ukraine
  • teach at a higher education institution or have at least 2 years of teaching experience, postgraduate study, research, administrative work in the higher education system or 2 years of professional experience in the relevant field
  • speak English at a level sufficient for professional communication in the English academic environment (TOEFL iBT no less than 80 points)
  • return to Ukraine for 2 years after the end of the grant according to J-1 visa requirements
  • have at least 2 years of previous participation in the Fulbright Research and Development Program

Selection criteria:

  • scientific achievements of the candidate
  • convincing internship plan
  • project relevance, the reality of its results, the ability to work with US and Ukrainian colleagues on projects that will have a significant impact on the state of modern education and science in Ukraine or the practice of higher education
  • readiness to initiate and implement new courses, disseminate advanced teaching and learning methods
